ABOUT

The University and Research Librarians’ Association in Turkey (URLA) organize annual scientific meetings in order to raise awareness of practitioners related to the information on various platforms like information services, information & document management, knowledge economy, information literacy, industrialization of information and so on in Turkey since 1991. The scientific and original studies/papers in the accordance with specified themes are evaluated and presentations are decided by the scientific committee for the meeting. The URLA annual scientific meetings are held in a different university every year and supported by various sponsors and government agencies. The main theme of the Congrees in 2014 “Management of Cultural Heritage and Cultural Memory Institutions.”

She studied Classical and French Philology in the University of Munich and at the Sorbonne in Paris, completing her doctoral degree in Latin. Hıfzı Topuz was born 1923 in Istanbul. After finishing his secondary education at the Galatasaray High School in 1942, he studied Law at Istanbul University graduating in 1948. The accepted papers that have been prepared in English language will be published in Elsevier Procedia – Social and Behavioral Sciences (indexed by Scopus, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index and ScienceDirect) and Cambridge Scholars Publishing Cultural Studies. Authors are allowed to present their contributions in Turkish as well.
